I think getting Sridhar (CEO, Zoho) to do a session would be a huge
valueadd to everyone here. I've met him personally a few times and
he's fantastic. He also has some pretty rad views on the education
system here (http://blogs.jambav.com/svembu/?title=on_galvanometers_and_exams&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1),
along with some experimental
solutions(http://blogs.zoho.com/general/how-we-recruit-on-formal-credentials-vs-experience-based-education)
which I think will be fantastic to hear. Not to mention the usual bits
about running a large successful+profitable bootstrapped startup here.

Unless there are a large flurry of -1s, I'll shoot him a mail tonight.

Yuvi,

Just confirm whether Sridhar Vembu is in Chennai. I heard that he is currently in US. Anyways confirm with someone from Zoho. (probably Aswin or Aravind)

Just confirmed from a friend at Zoho. Sridhar Vembu is not in Chennai. He had been to Chennai last month but since then is in USA.
We will have to look for someone else.

Why do we need to look for anyone? Let the people who turn up decide on the sessions. Anyway an unconference doesn't have the concept of prepared speakers or invited speakers.

I agree with Sid. An unconference by design means that the participants are speakers.

Having said that I saw a couple of mashup camps where they combine one structured session (typically a panel) with the rest of the sessions being totally openspace style.

No Red Carpet guys. Just a short mail saying 'hey, we're doing this,
and many would like you to talk. Can you?'. I'd personally love to
seem him talk in a barcamp-like format - and I'm sure many will agree.

The discussion is, ofcourse, now pointless since he isn't around :)

There was a colleague of his who spoke at kcommunity. It may be worth sending them invites/information anyway.

It is a cool company and having some of them can only enhance the event.
