Hi guys (are there any girls on this list*wondering*),

I'm flying down from gangsters paradise on the 14th, to attend our first bar camp in SA*yeah* and am planning on staying till around the 3rd of July. Long overdue visit to old friends and colleagues and filling the polluted lungs with some fresh mountain air.

Do any of you have any suggestions on cheap car rentals and accommodation(more as base camp) for the period?

Please let me know off list.

Thank you in advance...
Nick

Hi Nick,

What class of accomodation are you after cheap backpackers/hostel type
or more B&B or hotelish?

I know someone that had to go through the car-rental thing recently
(smahed his own), will find out where he went.

Cheers

Hi Nick and others

In terms of accomodation it gets a little tough for me to recommend any
to you from experience, but these are ones that I know people have
stayed at and enjoyed.

Protea Hotel Dolphin Beach (http://www.visitdolphinbeach.com/) -> nice
at the sea, but pricey.

Protea Hotel Tygervalley
(http://www.proteahotels.co.za/shop?mode=hotel&act=details&siteID=3f8d55aa-61035789-0000035f-1a56f9c8&returnpg=/main/hotel.jsp)
-> from around R500 p/n

Otherwise shop around for B&Bs here:
http://www.sa-venues.com/cape-town-bandb.htm

or have a look at

http://www.capestay.co.za/

Book early!

Cheers
Conrad
