greetings to all
this is a very good idea about bringing Linux users together. But there is one issue...
i think it also has to encourage others to use linux.
let it be known that cameroon's population and IT population uses windows as theirs main OS.
others know how good Linux can be but there is not forum for them to really learn. Yeah yeah! some others will say it can be learned from the internet. That's true!!!. but those this forum allow for newbies? What do "newbies" get to benefit from all this???
that's what's on my mind cuz i really wish to be an expert in Linus, and i know how good this OS is.
So i hope this issue will be looked into.
I love the idea, and i hope and wish this idea's impact is great.
thanks

Actually Adobe Dreamweaver and Fireworks are proprietary software; you
can get copies of them on Windows and on Mac but not on Linux.

Depending on your level in Web designing you can also try to use
Quanta Plus, Screem, Nvu and Bluefish to see the difference. These are
some pretty powerful web authoring tools compatible with Linux and
they are Free.

But if you insist on using Dreamweaver and Fireworks on Linux, you can
install WineHQ as it got an Windows API that you can use to run
windows based codes on Linux.

Screem: http://www.screem.org
Nvu: http://net2.com/nvu/
Bluefish: http://bluefish.openoffice.nl/

I will encourage you to join the Cameroon Linux Users Group (CAMLUG)
on Google Groups at http://www.groups.google/group/camlug for future
updates and questions on Linux and Open Source.
