All,
Several of us have expressed the general feeling
that sessions at a BarCampBank, while are generally mind altering experiences,
definitely miss a "what's next?" conclusion to the great conversations we've
just had.
The subject has been discussed in a thread of
comments to Jeffry Pilcher's post on Open Source CU
and we've had also many other offline or online
conversations on the subject.
To get the ball rolling, I'd like to propose that
we experiment at a coming BarCampBank (e.g. BCBSF2 http://barcamp.org/BarCampBankSF2)
the exercise of dedicating the last 5 minutes of every sessions answering a set
of three questions. These answers will then be provided to other participants
when everyone reconvenes for the next round of sessions.
As a first shot, I'd like to propose a tentative
series of questions:
1) what is the one thing about the current subject
we would like to be more of the same?
2) what is the one thing we would like
to be different?
3) when do we think this could happen?
Well, the discussion is now open. Please propose
alternate mechanisms we could use to give more punch to our sessions. If you
like the idea of the 3 questions, please offer your own set.
Cheers,
Frederic
