Someone added me to the correspondence, which is quite apt as I run NO2ID in
H&F. Fascinated to hear that 'Human Rights are systematically being abused
in Hammersmith & Fulham' - I will log into your group, please keep me
posted.

Your event today clashed with a NO2ID street stall, but you and your team
are welcome to join us at a surveillance society event on 24/9 - not far
from Hammersmith, and featuring.... CCTV & ANPR.

www.no2id-handf.org.uk/db240909.htm for info - any idea of numbers always
helps with arranging the seating.

All the best
Brian

Looking Good Mark
what do you need us to do?
Anyone else interested/helping out?

2009/8/3 Mark Lizar <ma...@smartspecies.com>:

Hello All,
I am starting to get really excited about this event, so excuse me if I
tend
to get more and more verbose.
This is an invitation to join the google group or pass this invitation on
to
someone who may be interested. We agreed at the first CCTV Pilot
organising
event yesterday that we use to be the main forum of communication
organizing
the effort and research for this event.
Please join this group, if you haven't already, in order to help out
and/or
be kept up to date on this CCTV research pilot. You can find this google
group here
http://groups.google.com:80/group/barcamp-transparency in the right column
you will see a 'Join this group' link to sign up to the mailing list.
About this research:
Similar to the citizens ability to arrest someone or detain someone until
the police arrive, is the ability to audit how Trust worthiness of
organisations and institutions in your community, and like the ability to
detain someone, for matters dealing with Volunteered Personal Information
we
can request enforcement from the Information Commissioner.
This event on Aug 22nd, is more than just one event, it is apart of a
formal
research in conjunction with London South Bank University, it is also a
pilot of the development of open social reputation used to develop trust.
This pilot is research to be used for the development of a social theory
which extends(reverses) the theory of the panopticon to be applied through
community based regulations. As well as research into the use of
transparency to regulate volunteered personal information. Most
importantly
this event is research into liberty in this country, to test and analyze
the
claim that Human Rights are systematically being abused in Hammersmith &
Fulham, .
Before now this research wasn't possible, with the growth of social media
technology and tools there is now an opportunity to test old social theory
in a new environment and context. This invitation is a call out to grow
the
core group of organisers, to help make this research and event a success.
If you know of someone who may be interested in participating as
researcher or helping with the effort please pass this email on to them. I
am especially looking for lawyers and journalist that are interested in
protecting freedom of the press and the legal right to control your own
information.
I will be sending more emails to the barcamp-transparency mailing list to
cover the needs of the organisation effort. I have just re-organised the
website and will be working on developing the Facts Page and Pilot
Research
pages over the next few days.
Especially please read the 'About this OSR Pilot' and help edit and polish
this material at http://identitytrustcic.org/cctv PLEASE PROVIDE
suggestions for website content as soon as possible. Below there is a list
of milestones and dates, and a long list of things to do this week. I have
put some names of people besides different tasks feel free to discuss
everything in this mailing list, discuss any of these items listed below,
and please let me know if you are not able to do a task due to
time/knowledge constraints as soon as possible so I can find a work
