I haven't heard much promotion about it at all but Startup Weekend Bangkok was originally scheduled to be this weekend. Fortunately they've pushed it back due to flooding to December 16-18 which hopefully will be enough time for people to have returned back to BKK and be ready to do some code/product hacking. Website is http://bangkok.startupweekend.org - the winner gets a place in the JFDI incubator in Singapore and a budget of SG $15,000 to try to take their idea forward and get funded after 100 days of incubation. Check out http://jfdi.asia for more details. It's the best opportunity for a tech startup that exists in SEAsia. If you've been thinking about doing a tech startup you want to participate in this.
