Life is too short to work at a boring company. Be personally recruited by the people who lead the best startups here.

Hey Everyone,

This week brought the announcement of the SWBKK participants (view list here). They had more than 250 applicants and extended the initial participants list from 100 to 120. Congratulations and good luck to all that made the first round.

If you weren’t chosen, rest assured that this does not reflect your abilities or the quality of your idea. We just didn’t have enough spots for everyone to join.

If you applied especially because of the 1st prize – an invitation to the JFDI–Innov8 2012 Bootcamp in Singapore – remember that you can still apply to the bootcamp in Singapore via the online application here.

Thank you for subscribing and we would like to hear your feedback to continually improve the digest. Please let us know if you have an event you would like us to feature or any feedback by emailing ke...@thestartupdigest.com.

I think the post was every bit as relevant (perhaps more so) than the Legobots post before. I don't have an objection to either. Both contain information pertinent to Bangkok geeks and persons who might attend Barcamp and don't seem overly commercial or spammy to me (unless I missed something).

Ben / Prem

The message was certainly not an advertisement. It's simply a listing of tech meet-ups in Bangkok for this week, which I felt would be nice for other BKK techies to attended. I could see where the top portion, which is the recruitment part could be construed as advertisement.

I felt that this is exactly what Barcamp is about, ad-hoc meetup and the spreading of knowledge and information freely.  It takes everyone to openly help the Thailand Startup & Tech community grow, it was in this motivation that I sent the message.

I also seen that the "Reading Room" sent out a message 2 weeks ago, which was certainly not tech related, with no repercussions.

Shall I not send this to the group again?

Thanks,

Kelly M. Kampen

i believe Prem has hit the reply button on the wrong thread. That LEGO message was the spam that didn't fit into this group and other they are spamming.
