Hi Everyone!

First of all, I just want to say that I'm really inspired and enthusiastic that so many of you came on Thursday (more than 25 people)! It's great to know that there are so many people that want to keep BarcampSaigon alive and my hope is that with our "BarcampSaigon Army" we will grow and grow into the future. July 1st is the day! Thank you to everyone!

Okay, so our first steps before our next meeting:
  1. Move to Google Groups for Communication: Here is the link (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/barcamp-saigon). Please everyone register, like Mr Thach said, you can set it to have a "Digest Email" under "My Membership" that will send to you once per day. If you go now, you can see that I have created Topics each with your Team and Meeting Notes for each team. Please make sure that your subject (i.e. [Marketing]) always includes your team title so that it's easy for new people to understand. By the way, this will be the last email, for all further communications about BarcampSaigon, please use the Google Groups. If you have any problems, Google it! :-)
  2. Next Meeting in Feb: I have set up a new Doodle here: (http://www.doodle.com/3s8gfay9agnk3nq2) I hope that people who could not come last time, can come in February. I nominate Tomo to chair. We need to have a nice Meeting Agenda before the meeting.
  3. Meeting Notes: In this email, especially for the people who could not come, I have enclosed the Meeting Notes that were so nicely typed by Ms. Ngoc. I will also post them onto Google Groups.
  4. To People Who Could Not Attend On Thursday: We have selected four main teams: Marketing, Sponsors, Suppliers, and Website. Please let the team you want to join know in Google Groups.
  5. Contact Sheet/Master File: We will create a Master File on Google Docs in February. This file will have all of our contact information and team info.
Lastly, all of you are awesome! Mr. Cong suggested that we should have 2 "BarcampSaigon Army" Parties in between now and July 1st. I think this is a great idea, this will keep us fresh and constantly enthusiastic about organizing. :-)

    • Have a new website to bug test and implement, and will also be working on a mobile version
  • Sponsor team (~6 people):
    • Money??? How much do we need? Last time was 100 million VND 
    • Need to calculate cost of how much for each attendee?
    • List of ex-sponsor? How to attract new sponsor?
    • Suggest fee/coffee
    • What kind of benefit company can get?
    • Market Research: What kind of participants?
    • Sponsor team has few members? Everybody needs to help!
    • We should get feedback from our sponsors
    • Regarding to contract with company, who will represent for Barcamp?!
  • Supply chain team (~6 people):
    • What kind of thing barcamp need? (ex: coffee, food, tshirt…)
    • Find another supply chain third party?
  • Marketing team (~15 people):
    • How to attract presenter?
    • How to attract attendee?
    • brochure - does we need it? What are the marketing materials that we can make? (especially for free)
  • Date & Time & Venue
    • July 1st
    • RMIT - easiest to do
    • FPT: too far :((
    • University of Science: union, restrict (bibi)
    • University of Technology: room, wifi (bibi)
    • ERC institute
    • German-Vietnamese Uni - Thu Duc
    • Hotels?: money money where are you :(

Hello everyone!

As we have mentioned in previous emails, the next Barcamp Saigon meeting will be on this Thursday (12/1/2012) from 6 pm - 9 pm at Tango Juice (86 Ngo Duc Ke, Dist. 1. Ho Chi Minh City). When you come, just go up stair to the 3rd floor.  This is the only meeting before Tet holiday, we'll get to know each other, describe teams, choose teams & team leaders as well as set up plan, goals & milestones for Barcamp Saigon Summer 2012.

Please reply this email to confirm whether you can attend the meeting.

Như đã được nhắc tới trong những email trước, cuộc họp Barcamp Sài Gòn tiếp theo sẽ diễn ra vào Thứ năm tuần này (21/1/2012), từ 6 pm - 9 pm tại Tango Juice ( Số 86, Ngô Đức Kế, Quận 1). Khi bạn tới hãy lên thẳng lầu 3. 

Đây là cuộc họp Barcamp duy nhất trước Tết âm lịch, trong buổi họp, chúng ta sẽ làm quen với nhau, giới thiệu về các nhóm làm việc, phân chia các bạn về các nhóm, chọn nhóm trưởng; lên kế hoạch, đặt ra những mục tiêu và cột mốc quan trọng trong việc chuẩn bị và tổ chức Barcamp Mùa Hè 2012....

Bạn vui lòng trả lời lại email này để xác nhận mình có thể tới tham dự buổi họp hay không.
