Hello from Barcamp Hanoi 2012 - Confirmation on Naming, Brand, Website Design sharing

Hi Barcamp fan, 

Le Nguyen, Chris, Ninh, Trong, Quang Anh, Dac Nguyen, Arky,  Serge Stinckwic and a few more people in Hanoi is helping to organize the 2011 Hanoi Barcam in 8 April 2012. 

The team has not started any marketing PR activities because there are a few things need to be completed before public buzz for the event.

Because I decided to give a hand into this event so I have been reading the group for the past few weeks. 

I am still asking myself a question:

Why we don't connect the 2 teams so we can help each other. Hanoi Barcamp only took place once in 2009, SG Barcamp Team certainly has more experience in organizing as well as sponsors connection.  Is it better if we can unify all the SG, HN barcamp logo/website/banner as well as the way we do the public buzz about it?

I am working with the website team, especially Ninh & Trong to finalize the website, I feel quite uncomfortable if we are going to use a different logo, typography, banner for Hanoi. This is the second Barcamp in HN  after 3 years, we have  a chance to restart this activity annually and it is good we start it in the right way, together!!!

My concern is quite broad for now, but I will need confirmation on following specific issues:

- Links and Content sharing on the HN,SG Barcamp website

- Logo, Slogan, banner, graphic materials: Should we unify the look&feel for both Barcamp

- If the shared name & branding is confirmed and supported, we can have a clearer concept in design and marketing activities, at least from the

official barcamp website of both HN,SG.

Cooperation with other barcamps is welcome - at least at the level of
websites.

Of course - links will positively influence search engines ranking.

The new website design for BCSaigon is allegedly already prepared. I
have not seen it yet :) I am not sure if the author is willing to
change it.

When do you plan to do the barcamp in Hanoi? BC Saigon is planned on
1st July.
