Steve: your last job should be to check over who is providing what and
ensure that the Google Doc is up to date. Once done notify the list of
any potential gaps so that we can make alternative arrangements that
would suffice. Remember for critical items you should be seeking
duplication.
Team: someone needs to send out a mail to delegates telling them where
and when for everything. Note that for TransferSummit we have a
coordination mechanism in place, we may want to adopt something similar
for the Barcamp - see the "Orientation" section of
http://transfersummit.com/community (note the phone number mentioned on
that page is my event phone so you can publicise it, I turn it off when
we are not doing events)

TransferSummit/UK - Open Innovation, Development, Collaboration
Oxford 24-25 June 2010 - Register now! http://www.transfersummit.com
For Twitter DM to @TransferSummit got to my phone but as I can only
link to one account perhaps someone can set up thre barcampoxford
(Sylwia has log in details). Or I can switch after summit on Friday.
Here's an email I was putting together. Feel free to use but it needs checking.
At last, this is the week of the Barcamp.
Kick off is on Friday night with beers and food at ?? Then the action
at the Club is on Sat from 10:00 when we have a brief orientation
before choosing the topics we're interested in discussing, presenting
or hacking on. There's sure to be some excellent conversations, and
we've got snacks and lunch to keep you energised.
We suggest you have a quick look through the wiki page again and don't
forget to bring power strips and cables, plus some large posit-its for
the schedule board. Here's the list from the wiki
* Laptop
* All the chargers/cables you'll need
* A plugboard(powerstrip) to make sure we have enough sockets
* If you're using a Mac for a presentation, VGA adapters
* Spare battery (if you have one)
* Camera
* Sleeping materials - sleeping bag, pillow and toiletries (if you are
using our crash spaces - see below)
* An idea for a session, presentation, talk or hacking. Whatever, it's
your choice. Just make it happen.
* Something from StuffWeNeed to help the day go smoothly
* A smile
To get get in contact you call one of the organisers listed on the
wiki or dm @barcampoxford or call l?????
If you still need to arrange crash space you can either contact those
offering on the wiki page ormeet F2F on Friday night.
Finally a reminder that from 14:00 the ground floor of the Club and
the bar will be open for football, while upstairs will be used for
continuing barcamp activities.
We look forward to meeting you all on Firday/Saturday.
Steve
Details are on http://barcamp.org/BarCampOxford, but it's 6.30pm at the
Royal Blenheim then dinner over the road in Camera at 7.30pm
(Both are on St Ebbes Street, near the back of the Westgate Centre, and
round the corner from Modern Art Oxford / St Ebbes Church / Thirst Lodge)
Everyone has two days now to work up an appetite :)
Nick
I'll try to get another reminder out on the OGN list before I leave
for France. You might not need new people but it never hurts to remind
those Oxford geeks who've already said yes but might have forgotten!
I'm currently waiting for any extra details to be confirmed about
Arduino DevCamp, who'd also like a mention!

Cheers,
J-P
