Hi all,

Just a quick note about the currently mothballed BarCamp Oxford group,
of which you're a member.

Sorry about the spam you've been getting from this group recently.
I've locked down the group so that nobody else can join, and kicked
out all the accounts I think are spammy (basically everyone who joined
after BCAO last year.)

This group remains available for any future BarCamp Oxford events.
Please get in touch if you're organizing such an event and you'd like
manager privileges.

Cheers,
J-P

Actually, OSS Watch are in the process of confirming a venue for BarCamp
Oxford. If we get the venue we want it will be in June and will land the
day after a conference we are organising (it will be distinct from the
conference, we just hope some conference attendees will stick around).

More on this list when we have confirmation (even J-P doesn't know about
this yet so I hope we'll be able to convince him to help organise it again).

Wow, that's great news. This strategy works really well for Brighton
BarCamp, I think: it's usually timed to mop up the stragglers from
dConstruct, so gets a lot of traction because it. Ross, might be good
to drop those Barcampers a line and see what if anything they do to
tie into dConstruct.

Cheers,

Once we have info confirmed (within 7 days I hope) you will here (and
everywhere else I hope). Until it is definite I don't want to promise
anything.
