I'm visiting Nairobi from Toronto, Canada. I'm here for my first time
in Africa, trying to figure out the local technology landscape and how
people use technology today.
I'm here in the exploratory phases of a project that I'd love to pick
the Nairobi geek crowd's brains about. We're trying to figure out if
it's possible to build a social network that will help reduce harm and
save lives by managing and preventing infectious disease outbreaks.
You can find out more about the project here:

You can find out more about me on my blog, the about page will give
you the basics. My geek cred is that I was at the first BarCamp ever,
and have been at many since.
I'm proposing a geek dinner at Carnivore's next Friday night. Any
takers?
Cheers,
Will Pate
