Hey Folks-
I'm fine with Dec 11... it is a bit after November "Global Entrep Week" stuff, but no problem... we can still tie it into that to promote/etc.

I also met with one of the student leaders of the IEEE club at AUB yesterday.... and she is very interested in helping out with Barcamp stuff... cool!

Mackram, I'm gonna be meeting with Tony Feghali again soon, so I'll follow up with him about that.

ALSO... how about we all meet up to discuss, have a drink/etc, and figure this stuff out in person?  I'll be out of town in Jordan next week, then traveling, etc... will be hectic... but how about Saturday afternoon?  Maybe some work time 3pm-6pm?  (Alternatively, maybe a bit earlier... 1pm-4pm?).  If we meet up, we could quickly hammer out a bunch of details, plans, etc that would take a lot of emails otherwise.  I'd be happy to host at RootSpace (Charles Helou Street, between Euro Commission and Bayt al-Kataib), unless other people have a good suggestion of another place that is comfy and has good internet?

Cheers!

Hey Everyone,

Sorry I have been a bit busy and was unable to catch Dr Feghali
previously. Anyways I talked with Dr Feghali and he is wiling to help
us unfortunately due to some commitments and other conferences, we
would not be able to do the barcamp in the aub until Dec 11. If the
date sounds cool then let me know and I will give Dr Feghali a call to
start things moving. I told him that we need a relatively large room
to fit everyone in (for the intro and close) and then small breakout
places for the discussions.

So guys please let me know.

Hey All,

I am okay with Saturday as well (both times really work for me) and
RootSpace would be a good place to meet too.

Just one thing Dr Feghali is expecting a reply from us so if we are
okay with Dec 11, I can send him an email that we are good for Dec 11
and that Munir will be following up further with him.

Regards,
Mackram

Hi Folks-
Okay, sounds good... so Saturday is on, but it will have to be the earlier time... 1pm-3pm (possibly extended to 4pm... but I hope not).  Easiest if you bring your laptops...

Hopefully we can finish quickly, cause I'm then heading off to GeekFest Damascus (which starts at 7pm!), on my way to MENA ICT Forum on Sunday-Monday...  busy couple of days!

Mackram, yes, please send Tony Feghali a msg confirming the day...  if you remember, please CC me so I can follow up with him on that...  let's discuss on Saturday the precise needs, list of tasks/responsibilities, etc... and we can post that stuff on the Barcamp wiki site.

I'm adding Caren to this email chain (join the g-group, if you want!)... Caren, if you can make it on Saturday, 1pm, would be greeeaaaattt....  let us know.
• RootSpace (Charles Helou Street, between Euro Commission and Bayt al-Kataib), 6th Floor

If people get lost/etc, call me.... 03-138-770.

Talk soon.

Cheers,

Munir
