Let's share our ideas about logo-design and tshirt?
We can look for volunteers to take the task of designing, in any case, I
can take help of one of my team members to design some logo drafts,
which we can look and finalize on any one for further polishing?
Same goes with t-shirt?
Thanks

I guess I am a little late with this mail; the last few days have been
really hectic.
Starting with my introduction, I am Kanishka Aman Singh, final year dual
degree student in the Deptt. of Electrical Engg., IITK. My first and only
experience of an unconference was when I organized and coordinated the
first Unconference here at IITK during Megabucks 2008.
Reading the mails and the discussion which has been going on, everyone
here seems to be of the opinion that we should have a particular theme on
which the topics for the session should be based. Now, I think:
A. that would undermine the whole spirit of an unconference. A theme turns
this into a conference, which many of us find quite boring (at least I do
:P). Let people decide on whatever topic they want to discuss/express
opinions upon, without us limiting their ideas to a particular theme.
B. considering the idea of BarCamp is new in Kanpur, we can only increase
participation and interest in people by not asking them to restrict their
ideas to a theme. Many people wouldn't attend it for the sole reason of
it's theme. Instead, leaving it completely open ended, people might just
get interested in checking this new kind of discussion. At least that is
what happened when I organized the event.
This is just a suggestion; let's see what you people think of it.
Salud!

Thanks for your feedback, totally agree with you. By posting my thought
over having focus-area, the idea was to have something to start with but
it was never meant to restrict anyone within it.
Just quoting one paragraph from my previous email:
> Of course, participants can give session on anything they want, but
> having some focus would really help to those who are very new to this
> kind of event and also sharing the idea behind the event?
Since you have brought up this point, I am also curious to see what
everyone says?

Totally, I would leave it up to the campers. Let's do it, spread the
word and get more and more people talking.
I do have desire to see certain events (mostly related to
user-interaction, design and various tech stuff), but let's see what
people come up with.
