Dear Donor,
GiveIndia is 1 of 100 NGOs selected by Chase Foundation to compete for $1 million on the popular social networking site Facebook. NGOs have to get Facebook users to cast a vote for them and the NGO with the highest number of votes will win the prize.
The Chase Community Giving event consists of two rounds, the first of which took place in December 2009 and saw thousands of NGOs competing for 100 prizes of $25,000.
GiveIndia was among those 100 and has already won a grant of $25,000. In round 2, those 100 NGOs have to compete for 1 prize of $1 million and 5 prizes of $100,000.
If we win, we plan to use the $1 million to educate 40,000 children. We believe that there are enough people who want to see this happen, enough people to ensure that we get 40,000 votes that will in turn help to educate 40,000 children.
One VOTE = Education of one CHILD!
One minute of your time can provide education to one child for an entire year! Can there be a better payoff of your time!!!.
VOTE NOW and make this dream a reality!
Voting in Round 2 of the event ends Jan 22nd. Once you have voted do spread the word by asking your friends to vote and their friends to vote and their friends to vote - yes yes I know you get the picture :-)
We believe this is a unique opportunity for all of us to use social media to make a tangible difference. And we know we have your support. :-)
Warm Regards,
Internet Giving Team @ GiveIndia
