Introduction

Hi guys

I thought, it would be good idea to start with introductions. Let's
introduces ourselves in this thread.

My name is Abdul Qabiz, as you can guess. I am from Kanpur but have
been out of city for last many years working for various companies
(Yahoo!, Adobe, Mixercast, etc). I returned to Kanpur last year.

I am currently working for a small web/graphics design and development
company, where I happen to be doing a lot more things than I did in
past.

Ever since I returned back to Kanpur, I have been missing many things
and one of those is Barcamp style unconferences.

I am sure, after this first event we are planning here, we would not
miss it anymore.

My name is Abhishek Singh. I work at Simmortel Voice Technologies, a company I founded in 2007.

I work on speech recognition, mobile IVR portals, voice 2.0, basically the common area between the mobile voice and the web.

Simmortel is incubated at SIIC, IIIT Kanpur for the last 2 years and is about to graduate soon.

I am Vipul Goyal, presently a student here a t IIT Kanpur ( B.Tech 2nd
yr Electrical Engg.).
I have been working on some ideas (business plan) for the past few
months and am really
enthusiastic on having like this here in Kanpur. I have just had the

such event earlier and am really looking forward to it.

I am Ravi Mishra, originally from Kanpur but currently based out of
Pune. Presently I am working with Capgemini India and I have been
working on Flex technology for around 4 years. I was very excited when
I heard of BarCamp event from Abdul and wished to attend it but now I
think I may not be able to attend this event but I wish all you guys
all the very best for this event.
