Hi Guys

As we discussed, we would need to get some banners done for Prabandhan
event and give to Shashank before Sept 18.

Any ideas, what should we write on on Banner? I thought, we would have
some ideas by now, after I sent previous email (update on meeting notes).

I am thinking, let's just keep it simple.

Please share your ideas by tomorrow. If no one comes up with something,
I am gonna use my limited knowledge to come up with some words :-)

Shashank, how many banners would we need?

Thanks

Hi Guys,

I guess 2-3 Banners will do.

If we can not come up with banners, we can put up a chart paper near
the main auditorium about the BarCamp.... But again the question is
what to put on it???? :)

Abdul it would be nice if you can come down to the place on Saturday
or Sunday as we will be having a lot of big brand lectures on those
days, thus we can expect a lot of jaunta turning up. Or any one else
who have some experience about BarCamp or Unconference...
Considering my limited knowledge about the event i would not be the
best person to answer all the queries.

Suggestions are invited :)

Regards,
Shashank Saini

Hi All

I agree with shashank if we cant get the banners ready on time, then
we can put few lines on a chart paper (A1 size) or so.

We can put BARCAMP KANPUR in big fonts. And then little intro to it
which is available on wiki.
It says "BarCamp is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for
people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense
event with discussions, demos, and interaction from attendees.
BarCampKanpur would be the first event of it's kind (unconference) in
Kanpur city. It would allow people from various backgrounds to come
together, get-connected and share their knowledge/experience."

we can cut short it, and put some quotes and wiki link as well. We can
just use sketch pens to make it thats it. One or two charts paper will
do.
Its good to have something rather than nothing.

wt say guys?

Hey everyone,

Right outside the IIT gate, towards the right, near the Kodak (or
whatever) studio, there is an alley kind of thing, where this guy paints
banners. We can get him to paint one banner for us, which says something
as simple as "BarCamp Kanpur" with the sub-text reading "The first
unconference of it's kind in Kanpur" followed by the date of the event,
the venue and the wiki link. For the rest, we can have a few A4 sized
print outs, with a little intro about the unconference, and of course, the
chair and the person we discussed about :P. The banner can be prepared in
a day; in fact if the order is given in the morning, he can even provide
it by evening.

Obviously, we would need someone to take this responsibility.

Let's go ahead with chart-paper and wordings, as Kanishka and Deepak
suggested.

BarCamp Kanpur

The first unconference of it's kind in Kanpur

http://barcamp.org/BarCampKanpur

We don't have agreement on date yet. I guess, we can go with Nov 1,
since no one has responsed, we can consider the silence as an agreement ;-)

We can still get banners done. Let me find about it here. I would
confirm by tonight.

Shashank, I would try to be at IITK. I feel, I know about BarCamp as
much as you know by now. You can go ahead and share what you know?

Thanks
