formulating a two-item shopping list.
We’re going to be supplying bottled water, chupa chups and chocolate
for the day. I know Degree up by Manning Clarke will definitely be
open Saturday so coffee and tea hipsters can get their fix there. I’m
going to be checking in with Purple Pickle to see if they’re open as
well, who are much closer to the CSIT building (quite literally a two
minute walk from the venue)—they should be open given we’re not in a
teaching break this year. :)
There should also be a vending machine in the CSIT building for peeps
wanting snacks and other refreshments.
Otherwise:
• Nat is taking care of signage to point the way for the day.
• Stephen is bringing stationery and the like as well as name-tag
labels.
• Pizza will be supplied, thanks to UX Au. Nom nom.
• Dinner for 30–35 is organised at Barbar; be there between 18:30 and
19:00. (Barbar is next to Sammy’s and Wagamama, Bunda St Civic—it’s
within walking distance of the ANU.)
Friday night drinks:
Following Andrew’s suggestion, we’re going to be meeting at 17:00
***on the Friday*** at Trinity bar in Dickson for pre-conference
drinks. We’d love to see you there!
We’ll probably shuffle off to PJ O’Reily’s or King O’Malley’s for a
pint or glass of wine after the close of the conference before moving
onto dinner. If I can help it there should be a bar tab. (:
Okay, that’s about it! Make sure your presentations are ready, you’ve
got a few spare business cards, and otherwise expect to have an
awesome time. :)
