I think all the media coverage ideas are great and needed. Is anyone
posting flyers at UAB? Are there radio talk shows to get on? Wasn't
Jeremy on something last year?

I was on Tapestry at WBHM last year. I have emailed Tanya Ott but have not heard anything back yet.

How about calling her? The email may not have been received. The worst
she can do is say no.
Also, Maybe the Bham News would put a notice about the event in their
business section if someone sent them a Press Release. That could be
in addition to rather than in place of the article that Wade is
working on with them. The more info that is out there the better.

I sent out a press release, but the Birmingham News has cheerfully
ignored it.

I'll send out another round of releases when we have the food bank
details.

FYI -

Jimmy DeButts at the BBJ told me yesterday that he'd get BarCamp included in their email blast next week (this way it would be seen by people before the paper hit newsstands on Friday morning).
