Hi guys,
Thought I'd start this thread so that we can all empty our pockets
onto the table and see who has what useful contacts in terms of
sponsorship, giveaways and other things to spice up the weekend. (More
on dates, location, etc from Gareth R in the next few days I think)
Willing sponsors so far:
1. I've spoken to Campaign Monitor who'll provide fun tshirts (http://
www.campaignmonitor.com/blog/post/2890/campaign-monitor-tees/) and
plenty of free email credits so we can send our newsletters through a
trusted sender.
2. The Guardian is very interested in sponsoring (probably in the £250
range, possibly more) and, as Michael Bruton-Spall pointed out, they
have experienced events organisers who may be able to help us make
things happen.
3. Going out on more of a limb here, but previously, Vodafone and a
few other organisations have offered as much as £1k each to support
other BarCamps (and never ended up being taken up on their offer) so
I'll get in touch once we work out our costs for the weekend.
Anyone else got possible local or further afield sponsors?
