Please help me to resolve my issue.. I have update my macOS to Big Sur, now my Canon LBP2900B is not working, I tried reinstalling the printer driver file for LBP3000 as it worked with macOS Catalina.. But in vain.
Just updated from OS Mojave to Big Sur. With previous updates I have been able to get the printer working with patches, but now Im not able to get it working with Big Sur 11.3. Is the patch only working for 11.2?
After going through all the answers in this thread, I realized that I had not REPLACED those two patchfiles. But now I have, and at least I do not get any errormessage! Now it is only a window where it says "printing". But its not printing. But Im feeling that I am close
How I have connected my LBP2900B over home network is, I have connected my printer to my Mac and shared it.. so all my other laptops, desktop & mobile can access it over same WiFi network. While sharing I choose the TCP/IP address to connect from my windows PC/Laptops on Mac Big Sur.
At video, He have macos driver for printer. In my case, I add printer, but it "sending to print" over 5 minutes, than I stop it. I think problem in LBP3000 driver. Via USB work normal, but in case network printer on Win10, there are LBP2900 on Win10 and LBP3000 on mac, and they can't work correct
When a Single Page Print command is sent to Canon 2900b Laser Printer (On Windows 10 Pro PC), it prints that page fine but after printing the page, it tries to print more page(s) and while doing that the second page it feeds gets stuck (jammed) into printer.
Usually it is the roller problem. How long have you been using it for? It is usually because of regular wear and tear of the parts after long time of use. Had the issue with old HP printers had to open and service them. Also make sure not to load tonnes of pages in the tray. When we load them they are crippled on the end where the roller pulls them in causing them to jam. Those small printers feel bad when it is done to them. XD
Either roller issue or the paper size is set wrong, for example printer thinks it has letter paper when it actually has A4 or legal or some other paper loaded. Can be settings or can also be a problem with the paper size board in the printer or the tray has broken levers that activate the size board.
Sorry for my very delayed response and thanks for replying everyone. Tried everything from drivers to using printer with other computer to rechecking paper size. Its the printer hardware at fault and may be due to its age (6+ years now) though I have not printed a lot from this printer (about 10-15 text prints per month).
