Notes from meeting:
More discussion about "First Date" tickets; discount tickets for
opening weekends of BAPST shows.
Shows need to be submitted quarterly.
SEPT 08 is deadine to
get show info to Leadership Committee (Laura Lundy-Paine, Dan Wilson,
Amy Louise Cole, Shawn Ferreyra, and Trevor Allen) so it can be
distributed in Oct.
WE NEED PEOPLE TO STEP UP:
Someone to design the postcard (doesn't have to be fancy). (OR we just
do an email blast, still need design?)
Someone to figure out best price for printing
Every theater offering a show needs to help distribute it, in whatever
way works best for us (mailing list, email list, postcards in coffee
shops, etc)
General price for printing postcards seems to be, for 4 X 6, 7-13 cents
per postcard. Perhaps make 3000.
This may be cost prohibitive, may be better to just do email blasts.
A brochure is 10 -11 cents per unit. (In my opinion, this is not a cost
Virago can buy into. I prefer postcards)
Some suggested that the postcards should have a stamp or sticker with
logo on the postcards so you can track them down and find out where you
are really reaching audiences.
TICKET SALES: We may be able to sell tix for this (setting limits so
it's just "First Date" tickets, not tickets for our entire run) through
TBA Tix, and we may also be able to gather information there.
Trevor
will check on this through Jamye.
We may also be able to have a website through TBA that shows all
participating BAPST theaters. In future, this could have advertising
for companies that spread the word for us.
Jay suggested trading media for vouchers with businesses. It works
like this: Vouchers for tickets are given to magazines, magazines
auction the tickets off. When vouchers are auctioned off, individuals
contact us to exchange for actual ticket/reservation. We receive
advertising in exchange. Shawn suggested we do the most basic level of
First Date to begin with before taking steps like this.
With TBA Tix, we need a
SINGLE PRICE POINT. We need to decide
on one price ($10?) and offer the First Date tickets for that price.
$15 is too high for some companies as it really isn't a deal.

UPLOAD YOUR LOGOS!! You do this through your Google account. If you
don't know how to do this, email Dan Wilson
in...@cassandrascall.com,
and he can email you the easy instructions.
Ideas for what to add to the BAPST Forum:
Rehearsal Venues
Non-traditional venues
where to get costumes, lighting equipment,
ANYTHING helpful to you may help others.

TBA Expo in Spring 2009, Yerba Buena. We could have our Panel of Actors
there, as part of our exploration of "What will bring you to work for a
small professional company?" We agreed it would be best to supply these
actors w/ a list of questions before the event so they can mull them
over.
KEEP SUGGESTIONS OF WHICH ACTORS TO INVITE COMING OUR WAY!
Dan sent the Survey Monkey around, please FILL IT OUT! This gathers
anonymous info about what we're paying, and more.
Next meeting: July 7, 2008. I will need a note taker as I'm in L.A. for
that meeting.
