The Round Table and Drop in events on 22nd April continue to produce results.
Another MP has signed the open letter with 2 more possible signatures from the drop in event.
Two more Governments are now involved in achieving an end to Frozen Pensions. They are the Falkland Islands and South Africa. These are significant for two reasons:-
The Falklands because it is a British Overseas Territory that the UK went to war to protect and some of its British pensioners are war veterans.
South Africa because it has one of the highest numbers of British Pensioners with frozen pensions after Australia and Canada.
Another possible government is Pakistan, whose First secretary, Pakistan High Commission was not previously aware of the frozen pension problem.
These may appear incremental wins but they are essential to raising the profile of frozen pensions resulting in more pressure on the British Government to come to the table and agree to change. These are concrete practical steps brought about by hard work and determination which everyone with a frozen pension should be supporting.
