Not sure whether anyone has been following the UK news lately regarding the petition for both another election and in support of farmers and inheritance tax.
These petitions have got me thinking. If I registered a petition do you think we could get over 100000 signatures? This is the number needed to obtain a debate on the topic in the House of Commons. Please let me have your thoughts on this.

We have tried this before. It is very hard to obtain the 100,000. And then you get a Westminster Hall debate, with sometimes very few MPs taking part. We have had success in the past just asking sympathetic MPs to try for a slot for a Westminster Hall debate on frozen pensions.

With the current momentum of the campaign following Anne Puckridge’s visit, this might be an option, but we need senior ministers to be present and held to account.

Personally I was shocked to read that another trip to London has been arranged for Anne P to meet the PM. I know Anne and her daughter are more than willing workers in the campaign but to organise such a trip  before  getting confirmation from the PM he would defiantly meet Anne, was not a good idea. (by the way Happy 100 th. birthday  Anne), Anne did a fantastic job on the first trip but let me what difference did it make to the governmens frozen pension whim?
