You can apply for an increased rate of benefit whenever you are in the United Kingdom (UK)/European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA). We will need to know:
• your full name, date of birth and national insurance or pension reference number
• the date you are arriving and the date you are leaving
• your nationality
• an address and telephone number where you will be staying during your visit.
We cannot accept this information by email, and we cannot accept information more than 4 weeks before you arrive in the UK/EU.
If you have not already told us before you travel, you must tell us about your return within 28 days of your return to the UK.
