Pension requested to start 1st July but they backdated it

Hi All,
In February I requested my deferred pension to commence on 1st July but I have just received first payment in August backdated to February. This means my pension will be frozen at 20923 rates and a reduced lump sum. Has anyone had any success in getting this sort of error corrected please? My Husband requested same at same time and his was done correctly.
