Please find attached a copy of a letter I have received from the Rt Hon James Murray MP, Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury, following my letter on your behalf on 13 September 2024.

I appreciate that this may not be the response you were hoping for, however I hope that you find it informative and that it clarifies the Government’s position on this matter. Please let me know whether there is any further action you would like me to take on your behalf, on this or any other matter.

Please unfreeze both pensioners frozen personal tax allowance and frozen expat pensions.
Having continued to pay full tax on my income and pensions throughout my life this double whammy is not only insulting but also immoral and unjust

i was self employed for some time so i paid my own pension stamps . if i would have been in prison for 20 yrs i would receive a full pension for life. working hard all your life makes you think .ALEXANDER WHITEHEAD
