Dear Students/Friends -
As you may have heard already, my Guruji Pt. Hari Prasad Chaurasia is coming to Bay Area and has a concert on October 11th in Flint Center, Cupertino. After several concerts in San Francisco and Hayward over last few years, Hariji is performing in South Bay after long time. The details of the concert are in the attached flyer.
Few tickets for the concert are available with me for sale. If you are interested in buying tickets, please let me know and I will hold them for you. Tickets can also be bought directly from Ticketmaster - http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/1C0040D1D263413A
While here, I would like to organize Hariji's Lecture Demonstration Class for bansuri players and in general, students of classical music. The classes will be held on Sunday, Sept 28th 2008 at 10:00 am. This class will be designed to provide general guidance and direction to students and is meant for students at any level of competeny.
As some of you might know, Hariji hosts needy and talented students and teaches them in the Brindavan Gurukul at Andheri, Mumbai free of charge. Proceeds from this lecture demonstration session will be donated to Brindavan Gurukul, to help him with this effort. Suggested donation for attending the session is $100.
Seats are very limited as we do not want to compromise on intimate group setting needed for such a class. We would reserve a place on first come first served basis. If you are interested in attending classes, please RSVP to me by email and confirm your place by Sept 21st, 2008.
