"*My bansuri tuning is: (from low to high)
h,c#,d#,e,f#,g#,a,h,c#,d#,e,f#,g#,a. It's this true hindi musical
scale? "
Bansuris can be of various scales. Hindi songs are also sung in
various scales. The bansuri you have appears to be an F#. It is not
necessary that every singer of hindi song may choose that scale.
However, since the Sa (or the Do note) in Indian music is a relative
concept, you can always play the song by transposing Sa.
"*With little practice and hint from my friend who is amateur wind
instrument player I can make all tones, but is hard for me to change
low and high register on bansuri. Is it a one the form of mouth for
two registers? (I see that for lower register is better your mouth to
have form like 'o' and for higher register more like '=') "
This takes some practice. When you blow in the lower register, the
position of the lips should be similar to when you pronounce F (as in
Farm) while in upper register it should be similar to when you
pronounce Ph (as in Phishing). You should make sure that you are
getting all notes from high to low very clean in lower register before
you attempt higher register. You may also try to blow little harder
initially while playing higher register. Play one note at a time for
as long as you can. See if this helps.
