I just installed parallels 18 with windows 11 on my Mac Air M1 (2020) 8GB 512GB. I allocated 4 CPUs and 4g RAM to VM. And I downloaded ArcGIS pro and installed on windows. I tried installing the software on Mac document file, on local disk(C:) and reinstallation, and rebooting, but the ArcGIS pro just would not open. There is no task on task manager when I click the ArcGIS pro icon after installation. I also downloaded the arm64 6.0.8 runtime windows desktop. I don't know what is the issue. Can someone help?
I have the same issue.
Esri support recommended installing an older version of parallels,
However, legacy downloads for Parallels stops at v15 (can't find 16 or 17), and 15 does not work on the latest mac OS (monterey).
So in order to try an older version of parallels, one would also have to downgrade their mac OS to big sur. this may work for you on your 2020 device, but big sur does not work on macbook pro M1/M2 2021 and newer.
a knotted mess.
Any one know where to get Parallels 17?
ESA SNAP is already installed in my parallel desktop. However if I tried to do a flood validation using Sentinel 2 data/perform certain operation, it keeps on loading and not give me any result. I also tried to install it in my osx, same problem occurs.
I'm not normally a fan of mac software implementations, but recently I saw a copy of Parallels Desktop for mac that I was very much impressed by. I looked into parallel's offerings for Linux (I was initially excited that they developed for *nix) but found that it has essentially the same features as VMware.
I got an external monitor plugged into my iMac. I use parallel desktop on that monitor and when I set it to fullscreen it correctly fills the screen with the parallel desktop view. It's also generaly handy I can move the mouse between my Mac and Windows (Parallel Desktop). But when I start my game (such as League of Legends) it uses the boundries of my screen the move around, but it now ignores one side since the mouse will then enters the second monitor. This is extremely annoying. One solution would be to plug out my external monitor but I don't want. So my question:
I had the same issue, as Stephan, with installing Ubuntu 22.04 on a MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2021) M1 Pro with 32 GB RAM. I had the Apple store version 1.7.x (I think it was 1.7.2). Per the advice in the accepted solution above, I removed Parallels from my machine, logged into my parallels.com account, and re-installed parallels Version 17.1.2 (51548)) after downloading and activating the new install, I followed the advice given above accepted solution and Ubuntu 22.04 is now running as per the accepted solution answer.
I should mention that I did have issues getting the parallel tools installed. In the end, what I did was to click the warning icon at the top of the VM window warning me that the tools need to be installed. That apparently mounted the disk and installed the tools.
UPDATE 5/4/2022Based on a support email I received from parallels.com, the Apple store version I had installed was parallels desktop and is not the same as the parallel Pro version I purchased on the parallels.com web site. I was sent the following link for future information, but in a nut shell, I do believe that parallels pro was required in my case.
Odd since I just updated Parallels Desktop Business Edition mass deployment package v2.0.0 with ParallelsDesktop-13.1.0-43108.dmg and it works fine. I would suggest confirming you are not using an old deploy.cfg file from a previous version of Parallels Desktop Business Edition mass deployment package. I just followed the guide from parallels for version 13:
After testing my confirmed working parallels desktop autodeploy.pkg, I found that if I remove my confirmed working liciense key from the deploy.cfg then I can reproduce the error that you originally posted about. Why are you not including a liciense key?
I have the same issue.

Now I switched to a new Macbook Pro with Apple M1 cpu which has an ARM64 architecture. So I'm now on Windows 11 ARM version. Cisco is the only VPN client (and those on virtual desktops) which is working in this constellation. I tried the 32 and 64 bit versions of the current windows FortiClients, none is working.
This means you can view the Windows desktop within its own window floating on the Mac desktop, expand Windows to full-screen size so that it hides the Mac desktop altogether, or even shrink Windows down to a small preview that sits in a corner on the Mac desktop so that you can keep an eye on the Windows side of things while working in other Mac apps.
One new feature that will stand out straight away, though, is the redesigned interface, with windows and dialogue boxes in Parallels Desktop 19 now adopting the curved lines and candy colors that Apple has been using in the macOS in recent years. The app even gets a new desktop icon.
Parallels, like VMware Fusion and VirtualBox, lets you run Windows in three ways: with the Windows desktop running in a window on your macOS desktop, in a full-screen mode, or via what Parallels calls Coherence mode. In Coherence mode, Parallels shows only a single Windows app on your Mac desktop in its own window and hides the rest of the Windows desktop. As I discuss in a later section, Parallels Desktop switches in and out of these modes quickly and seamlessly.
On an older Intel-based MacBook Pro, Windows 11 booted to the desktop in 34 seconds, and needed 4 seconds to resume. On the same Intel machine, VMware Fusion took 43 seconds to boot Windows 11 to the desktop and 15 seconds to resume from a suspended state. VirtualBox started Windows 11 in 38 seconds, but I found its performance unusably slow once I reached the desktop.
I have 2 desktop flows which I want to run in parallel or concurrently. This was working earlier, but with recent version of Power Automate Desktop, I am unable to run flows simultaneously. The "Play" button is inactive for the 2nd flow when the 1st flow is running. See below:
Hi all, we can run desktop flows concurrently on a Windows server machine, upon registering the machine - Run a Power Automate desktop flow - Power Automate Microsoft Docs
Unfortunately, running desktop flows concurrently through the console is not supported.
The primary feature of Parallels Desktop for Mac is to install and run a virtual desktop environment on your Mac computer. It creates a virtual machine (VM), essentially a virtual PC inside your Mac. You can then install macOS, Windows, or Linux on the virtual machine as you would on any regular computer.
Parallels Access is a remote access tool included as a bonus feature for Parallels Desktop users. It lets you have remote access to your Mac from any iOS device, Android device, or supported browser. You can access all your Mac files from other devices. Likewise, you can use all your Mac desktop applications as if they were native iPhone, iPad, or Android apps.
Parallels Desktop for Mac is desktop virtualization software that lets you run Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Google Chrome operating systems and apps on an Apple Mac computer. The program enables the guest OS to be seamlessly integrated into macOS, replicating native OS performance.
Parallels Desktop for Mac is desktop virtualization software that allows Microsoft Windows, Linux and Google Chrome OSes and applications to run on an Apple Mac computer. The software integrates the guest OS into macOS, allowing it to mimic native OS performance.
Users can choose to run Mac and guest apps side by side on the Mac OS or as a full-fledged guest virtual desktop. For example, users can open a Windows app such as Internet Explorer or Windows Media Player from the Mac Finder utility. Similarly, users can drag and drop documents, folders and other data from Windows File Explorer to Finder and vice versa. Users can also swap between macOS and Windows without rebooting their computers and select which OS they want specific applications to open in.
Parallels Desktop for Mac comes with three modes. Coherence mode runs guest and Mac applications side by side in one window. Full Screen mode creates a full guest desktop, and Modality lets users resize and customize virtual machine windows running on top of the macOS.
