FOR INFORMATION:

Dear Friends,
Despite decrease in Consumer Price Index Numbers(IW)Base Year 2001=100  for Dec'17,an  increase of 49 slabs is  recorded for the past half year, there by showing corresponding increase in DA payable to Bank Pensioners for next Half Year commencing from today. This is comparatively high in recent years
which can be observed from below given table on index numbers and slabs for the past few years.
In the absence of extension of 100% DA to pre-Nov 2002 pensioners as well as updation of pension as and when wage revision takes place at industry level,no doubt, any increase in DA is a relief to pensioners.
The anxiety shown by members under this blog or else where in general ,during every half year at the time of  release of AICPIN(IW) reflects their concern in this regard. While the resolution of retirees major demands are either in Apex court or in papers, looking forward to movement of Index numbers
especially in their favour give at least slight solace in an era of difficulties faced in meeting both ends.At the same time we cannot forget the agonies of those who are deprived of  monthly pension by authorities on reasons of their own.
Let us hope that, things will change soon, which will ensure a decent life style to senior and super senior citizens retired from banks.
