dear Shri D.Raja,

with seasonal greetings to you!

I am poor retiree of canara bank. I am taking your valuable time with the hope

that you will do justice to bank retirees/pensioners.

our grievances are as follows:

1) central govt. pensioners are getting pension revision with every wage revision.

  we ,bank pensioners are not getting pension updation  for the last 20 years.

when inflation is galloping,you agree that it is difficult to manage for retirees.

WHEN RBI has allowed Updation of pension ,there is no meaning why bank

retirees are denied pension updation.

2) RBI has allowed 100% DA Nutrelization to pre-2002 retirees, in banks pre-2002

 retirees are not given 100% DA RELIEF.

3)Family pension revised at par with central govt pensioners in RBI @ 30%,whereas 

in banks it is 15%.

4)Health insurance ,bank retirees are forced to bear abnormal premum ,banks are

not helping their retirees.

meanwhile,the Indian Banks' Association is going to revise wages of in-service bank

men, but they have gone back on their ealier assurances that Bank retirees/.pensioners

grievances will be solved along with wage revision in banking industry.

in central govt., pension is paid from Contingency Fund, whereas in Banks, pension

is paid from Pension Fund of Banks, there is no burden on Govt,no burden on banks..

Poor retirees of banks are helpless.on the other hand Banks' pension funds are

swelling with lakhs and lakhs of rupees. the lame excuse of IBA is not tenable as to

cost of updation. with every wage revision, bank pensioners are deceived by IBA.

and the unions are ignoring their senior colleagues,who are in the last stage of their

life.

PLEASE come to the rescue of poor bank retirees.
