Ican confirm that I can now move. Although still am unable to purchase items from the Pigskin fella. Game crashed in second level on Aviary boss. The cheats I used were Invincibility and Unlimited Coins. I disabled the Unlimited Coins cheat once I established that I can still no longer purchase items with cheats active and even after I had disabled the cheat I was still unable to make any purchases.
Exploit the stage. Much like in Dark Souls, there are ways for you to exploit the geometry of the level to be able to land hits safely and cheese enemies- if you scope each arena out, you should be able to figure out where you can stand invulnerable from boss attacks, and use that to your advantage.
If you are playing the Steam or GoG version on PC, there are also these cheats (such as unlimited health), shown off in the video below, that you can try and utilize to have things go your way (a little bit). However please use this at your own discretion.
With most passerby seeing Cuphead as a zany platformer, going into the game itself will come as quite a shock. Though there are 6 perfectly placed platformer stages, Cuphead is a run n' gun Boss Mode brawl - and a very difficult one at that. Just like the games it attempts to emulate, Cuphead cheats are certainly a thing. But only to those who dabble in the dark arts.
At the time of writing, Cuphead doesn't appear to include any of the classic arcade-to-home cheats like Invincibility or Unlock Everything - but there are a few screen filters to unlock by essentially showing off your own skill. Boiling down to making Cuphead look even more like a 1930s cartoon, there's a black & white filter and an early technicolour '2-stripe' mode for those looking to go the extra mile. Once you finish the main game, you'll unlock 'Expert' difficulty for if you really wanted things to be even tougher.
If you're looking for the darker side of cheats, like 'Unlimited / All Coins', Invincibility, Auto-Rapid Fire, Unlimited Super Charge and All Unlocks, you're going to have to dabble in a little bit of Devil-like trickery. A staple of the PC community for generations, 'trainers' are already available to those shelling out for a Premium Membership on popular hack page Cheat Happens'. Lacking an online mode, there's no victim with Cuphead cheats, but it certainly would reduce the game's overall charm.
If you're looking to go the legit route with the filter and audio mode unlocks, you're going to need patience and the right equips to compliment your skill. Master your Parry abilities, slap on the Invincibility 'Super' and learn to depend on the Smokebomb dash trait. You'll be able to fend off some enemies without firing a bullet, charge your Super and use Invincibility to sneak through the end encounter of most platforming stages.
