DuckDuckGo is the PC version of this well-known browser that has gained popularity over the years on Android. This tool has multiple features to access the Internet in the safest way, protecting your privacy and all the data you share.

In DuckDuckGo, you'll see an initial screen where you can enter any search term easily. In fact, during your first session, you'll be able to import bookmarks and passwords from other browsers installed on your computer to save time when entering data or searching for the same websites.

DuckDuckGo has its own built-in search engine and a customized, privacy-focused configuration to prevent data trackers. The browser also includes really useful features, such as ad and cookie blockers or e-mail encryption. All this allows you to add different layers of extra security to browse with total peace of mind. However, you can also edit certain parameters to adapt the usability to your needs.

The DuckDuckGo interface is very pleasant to use, and you can even adapt the color settings to activate an attractive dark mode if you want. In addition to this, you can also use the integrated Duck Player to watch videos while you browse.

DuckDuckGo is one of the most secure browsers out there, and millions of users already rely on it to access the Internet on their devices. So download DuckDuckGo for Windows and enjoy secure, fast, and private browsing.

Uptodown is a multi-platform app store specialized in Android. Our goal is to provide free and open access to a large catalog of apps without restrictions, while providing a legal distribution platform accessible from any browser, and also through its official native app.

I have my Bitwarden vault currently in my Chrome browser. I want to move it into my DuckDuckGo.com browser. I use Windows 10 in my computer. How do I move my Bitwarden vault into my DuckDuckGo browser?

I believe DuckDuckGo is only supported for macOS, and you will need to install (and login/unlock) the Bitwarden Desktop app, and then download the DuckDuckGo browser directly from (not from the macOS app store). Detailed setup instructions are available by clicking the Help Center link below:

No matter what browser you select, simply install the browser extension from the link above, then log in using your email address and master password (and 2FA), and your Bitwarden vault data will automatically be synced into your new browser extension.

I installed the Duckduckgo extension and decided after a week that I didn't want to use it any longer. I disabled the extension and in Preferences/Search selected Google to once again be my default search engine. But, when I do a search, Duckduckgo comes up as the default, and when I look in Preferences/Search it again shows as the default. I went back into extensions and totally removed Duckduckgo, reset Google again as the default but it reverts to Duckduckgo. I went into One-Click Search Engines and removed Duckduckgo, but then when I try to select my default search engine there are no search engines from which to choose. I clicked on Restore Default Search Engines but then I'm back to Duckduckgo being the default search engine. I've spent hours searching online with no success. How do I get rid of it and get Google back as my default? I'm using Firefox 82.0 on an iMac running Catalina. I updated to 82.0 hoping that might solve the issue, but no luck.

Hi, I know there shouldn't be an organization, but it's one of the flags that can indicate an external settings file is controlling your Firefox. So you probably haven't seen that on your Preferences page anywhere.

In the first table on the page, on the Profile Folder row, click the "Show in Finder" button. If Finder highlights an icon with a semi-random name like a1b2c3d4.default-release, double-click it to display the contents of that profile folder.

You also should get all of them in the drop-down list for choosing your default search engine. If it's still missing there, try a regular Quit and restart of Firefox to make sure the Preferences page is reading the current data. Any luck?

I agree it shouldn't have a problem. This is my home computer, so there's no organization involved.I can change the default to Google and stay on the same page, click in the search bar as if I was going to launch a search and it says I'm going to be searching using Duckduckgo.

As a note, we do not have an extension that can be installed into the DuckDuckGo browser at this time. However, you can use Universal Autofill (which comes from the 1Password app) to fill your info in that browser. Here's more about Universal Autofill: -universal-autofill/

While DuckDuckGo is perfectly safe to use via the website or extension, some people have complained that when they install the extension, they discover that DuckDuckGo has added additional software to their computer and changed some of their settings, making it difficult to remove.

I would uninstall Kapersky. Its tends to interfere with the computer's operation while providing minimal to no benefit unless you work with Windows files. Most long time posters recommend not using antivirus software or cleaning software such as CleanMyMac.

DuckDuckGo and a VPN are not similar.\nDuckDuckGo focuses on its secure web browsing capabilities like a search engine, Chrome browser extension, and mobile browser. It can take steps like keeping your search history private and not allowing site cookies to track you online.\nA VPN protects all of the data you send and receive on the internet from third parties on your network, like your ISP. The VPN is a private network that creates a secure and protected connection. It hides your IP address from apps and websites and prevents your internet provider from monitoring what you do online.\nUltimately, there is nothing wrong with using both a VPN and DuckDuckGo in tandem to gain a high level of online protection. The VPN encrypts data in transit to and from your device and hides your IP address, while DuckDuckGo makes your web browsing and searching more private.\n","author":"@type":"Person","name":"Kyle Schurman","description":"As a freelance writer for more than two decades, Kyle has experience writing about computers, consumer electronics, software, hardware, operating systems, cybersecurity, online privacy, and various technologies.
