Dear Shri Narsaiah,
good evening. U may visit our AISBRA website and view copy of Cir.No.62/BC/2011 published therein; as confirmed by Mr.Narayan T.Hegde, our Vice-President..
Hope U joined our retirees association by now. if not, please join @ Ur earliest convenience. I have, aklready, joined 10 members so far. Some more retirees are in the offing.
1. Just now, I had information from certain friends @ H.O., Manipal that we are eligible for Rs.1.00 lac  IT exemption on 56% additional PF balance contributed towards Pension fund --Section 80C. of IT act.
2. How about balance of Rs.3.00 lacs remitted by us towards Pension fund. The pension arrears were adjusted towards Pension fund and why the balance is not exempted for IT purpose. It is a great injustice done to us.
3. I request our AISBRA leadership to file a writ petition in the high court of Karnataka and seek interim orders on this point. Already High Court of Kerala, reportedly,   issued interlocutory order, effective for 3 months, restraining the CBDT., from  recovering  TAX on the entire amount of 2.8 times salary contributed by the existing employees towards pension fund.
regards,
Dr.Dhananjaya Bhupathi,

Dear Dr.Dhananjaya Bhupathi,

Referring the last para of your letter on Writ Petition it is
mentioned that "Already High Court of Kerala, reportedly, issued
interlocutory order, effective for 3 months, restraining the CBDT.,
from recovering TAX on the entire amount of 2.8 times salary
contributed by the existing employees towards pension fund".
I had posted the details of WP earlier.

On this point, may I clarify as follows:

The interim Stay of order of High court of Kerala in WP.8399/2011 is
against Corporation Bank, from deducting TDS on the amount (2.8 times
of Nov salary of serving employees)which is being apprppreated to the
corpus of Pension Fund for a period of 3 months, and not against CBDT
as you have referred.
The above WP was filed by corporation Bank Officers'Orgn againt Bank.

AIBOC has written to CBDT earlier to exempt the amount in full( 2.8
times of salary of serving employees as well as 56% of PF amount paid
by retirees) for which no reply is found received so far!

Dear Friends,

The Syndicate Bank has formulated the Medical aid Scheme to Superannuated employees.  However,  the GM(P) has informed  in a meeting that they would consider to extend the benefit to VRS optees also.

If a decision to extend medical benefit scheme to VRS optees who have completed 60 years of age,it is a good gesture and humane.   Wishing all Syndicate Bank Retirees a long and healthy life !   May humanitarian sense prevail on all other Bank Managements !

Dear Sir,

I am a retired person form Indian Bank under normal VRS (pension). I had taken VRS in the year 2007. I am getting pension regularly. Apart from this I am getting 1% extra interest on Deposit. I am getting no other benefits. Whereas Indian bank is extending the following facilities to retirees.
1. Medical aid 4000.00 p.a,
2. Reimbursement of Health insurance premium,
3. Holiday home facility,
4. Some additional Hospitalisation facilities,
5. Photo Identity Card,
6. Additional Interest of 1% on deposits.

My request for medical aid, holiday home etc were declined on the basis that it is available only for normal retires. I had opted for VRS on health grounds after completing 27 years of service in the bank. But I am not getting any other facilities which are available to normal retires. I had not received any other benefits at the time of retirement except my PF, gratuity, leave encashment and commutation.

In this connection I would like to know the condition in other banks. Please send your views and suggestions.

Thanks & regards
E Krisshnakumar.
