The notional service of 5 years were denied to those retirees who have completed 19 years and six months and above but not 20 years in all public sector banks. The retirees federations have not taken up this issue as the number of  retirees under category is less than100 in all banks. UFBE never bothered to take up IBA as the number of affected pensioners are very few. The banks will not have any financial burden if the notional service of 5 years are consdiered favourably by the bank managements. It is hoped that the facts may be brought to the notice of FM for redressal since all other doors are closed .

20 years pensionable service is required for pension payment.

Dear friends,

VRS 2001 retirees from State Bank of Travancore who has completed 20 years of full service has not received 5 year notional service as per section 29(5) of PR Act 1995.I have requested the AIBPARC leaders to include this in the 'DEMAND LIST'  submitted to the Finance Minister and IBA. But the AIBPARC National and Kerala state leaders rejected our request. They are supporting the SBI management. This is the stand taken by the retirees' association. Without a ruling from Court, we will not get it.

Instead of writing too much about VRS optees pension,why you are not approaching individual banks once again through Associations?How we pensioners can be helpful to you?
