Making a mockery of the pension issues by adopting all round about ways like this instead hitting nail on the head like pressuring the UFBU / AIBEA (FOUNDER OF THE EPS 1993 / EPR 1995 which were arrived at through Bi-partite route). These methods would make the problem makers to be very complacent and sit / sleep over the actual processes needed now.

Just for the sake of saying that we are also the stake holders, all retiree associations do fruitless efforts. Unless, these leaders do not understand the core issue of bipartism for reaching out a updation / revision agreement bet UFBU and IBA, no stone can be turned back in the industry.

Everybody knows very well the real culprits who is blocking the updation / revision of pension issues and they are to be tackled in a way that they can understand the real issues which are waiting for a suitable remedy for two and a half decades.

Yes simple  waste of time ,money( towardstravel and hotel stay etc) . Nothing but publicity stunt. Fruitless attempts in meeting  high dignitaries  , who hardly have any sayin the matter. Many delegations of Retirees  had met Finance minister many a times. The person with authority  as Finance minister  is unable to doany thing effective.
If at.alll any publicity of AIRBF is needed, they can ask the local affiliates to meetthe dignitaries.

Sir,
It is quite funny that our leaders will contact  all  and flood them with representations
but will not hit the nail on its head.
Updation is a bi-partite issue and IBA and United Forum are the direct parties who can and
must negotiate on this issue. It is beyond comprehension as to why our retiree
organisations are busy with third parties and are not pressuring the United Forum,
especially the AIBEA for taking up this issue , which is called the mother of all demands.

Banks are not interacting with retiree associations. Even grievance cell meetings were abandoned. IBA has declared officially that it will not communicate with individual retirees or its associations. Unions keep retiree associations miles away. They do not consider retiree associations at any stage of submitting demands or negotiations.
So Retiree associations, to show its members that they active meet various dignitaries irrelevant to our demands, conduct dharnas which nobody notice except pensioners.

Then, let the Retirees' Assns. go on pressuring
their respective managements of Banks for the
redressal of grievance. The attitude of IBA with
regard to the retirees or their associations is
condemnable  when they are, in a way, responsible for
the present plight of the pensioners, especially the
pre Nov,2002 retirees.
