ALL INDIA CONSUMER PRICE INDEX NUMBER FOR INDUSTRIAL WORKERS(AICPIN-IW)  BASE 2016=100 FOR APRIL 2021 

Labour Bureau, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Govt.of India, released the All India Consumer Price  Index Numbers for Industrial Workers (AICPIN-IW) Base Year 2016=100, for April 2021, which stood at 120.1points with an increase of 0.5 points,while compared to March 2021 figure.

Base year 2001=100.         1960=100

                     120.1.              7895.20

Bank pensioners DA for next half year w.e.f.1st August 2021, is arrived based on average Index Numbers,for April,May and June'21.

The current hike may have impact on DA payable to pensioners  in next half year if same trend is continued. 

As per Ministry "Inflation for April, 2021 went down to 5.14 per cent compared to 5.64 per cent of previous month. Food inflation also declined to 4.78 per cent from 5.36 per cent in the previous month."
