Dear Mr Sukumar Ramaraj

01.

I am enclosing here with IBA circular on formula on  fixation of Basic Pay in case retirees last 10 months salary falls in two settlement period.l,which is self explanatory.

2.Regulation 35(1) under BPER1995 with Appendix-1 has been explained so many times here.Still the same is attached for your reference and understanding.

"35. Amount of Pension :–
1. Basic pension and additional pension, wherever applicable, shall be updated as per
the formulae given in Appendix–I"
Regards

Dear Shri Mohan ji,

Thanks for your mail attaching the formula provided by IBA in 2010 for arriving at the average pay of those whose last 10 months of service falls under 2 successive BPSs for the purpose of fixing Basic Pension.

I think, this formula is different from the one in Appendix-1 of Regulation 35 (1).

In the meanwhile, the formula used by PNB (in their compilation report submitted to SC as per instructions of the latter in the Singla case) to arrive at the updated pension is not known.
(Charts attached)

Mr Ramani Ji,
The chart referred here is submitted by Respondent No.5
ie:Assn of Retired IOBs Employees .( An error has crept in while mentioning the name in one of my messages)
Though applicable DR is shown there, the formula is not mentioned on revised pension column. Not going much on the matter.

Ok, Sir. Thanks for the clarification. Sorry that I too didn't ch check the name of the 5th respondent, assuming that only correct name would have been mentioned.
