Dear friends, I  am also of the same opinion that we have to extend our services voluntary only without any remuneration .  But it will have impact only our Retirees organisations AIBRF & AIBPARC will take a decision on this & represent to PM & FM about long pending demands of Revision of Family Pension, 100% DA to pre 2002 Retirees, Pension updation & Reimbursement of premium  paid by us for IBA medical scheme.
Aociations have to directly discuss with Govt only & not  with IBA &not through UFBU

I feel that  voluntary services rendered by us will give more satisfaction than working for money. It is a good opertunity  to work again along with our junior colleagues and spend some time with customers and staff.

We r also can give voluntary assistance to our bank ,but some of our senior
Br.Manager  never give the due respect to retired employees but use to say ex employees are on my foot .Under such circumstances how we dare to say about assistant in this time of heavy rush in the branch.

The management has list of retirees, zone wise and region wise.If they send appeal individually by post or e mail,it is appropriate to respond.Without any specific request,it is not proper to volunteer in financial matters. Those who are in need of services must come out first.

Rightly said Sri Bhaskara Sarma. Only the Branch's cashier(s) can handle the cash work Past retirees may be utilised for paper work, verification and
other related works. Unless and until Banks seek the assistance, we can not
help. And the option is ours. May be Large Branches of Banks needed the services of past employees to manage the heavy rush.

In the Branch where I happen to change the demonetised currency, I found
lot of people only to supervise and check whereas it was the two cashiers who had to receive and disburse the cash. There were about 6/7 people
and there was not much of a crowd.

There need not be much discussion over this, as one who volunteers go to help and that depends on the mentality of people, on both sides. No doubt
it is in national interest, and atthe same time there should be mutual trust and respect on both sides'
