Dear Friends,

ALL INDIA CONSUMER PRICE INDEX NUMBER FOR INDUSTRIAL WORKERS (AICPIN-IW) 2016=100,FOR OCT’23.

As per release made by Labour Bureau, Ministry of Labour and Employment,Govt. of India,today the All India Consumer Price Index Numbers,for industrial workers,for October 2023  (AICPIN-IW) 2016 = 100  stood at 138.4 points, with  an increase of 0.9 points,compared to Sept'23 figures as  follows:

  Base year 2016=100.    1960=100.  

Oct'23. 138.4.   9098.22

Pensioners, next half yearly DR may be arrived based on CPI numbers for Oct,Nov & Dec'23

If the current level of index is continued in next two months,too,  there may have 54 slabs increase in DR to pensioners,in next half year.

As per ministry:

“Year-on-year inflation for the month stood at 4.45 per cent compared to 4.72 per cent for the previous month and 6.08 per cent during the corresponding month a year before. Similarly, Food inflation stood at 6.27 per cent against 6.52 per cent of the previous month and 6.52 per cent during the corresponding month ayear ago.”
