Dear all,
I have observed that number of messages posted on group site are increasing day by day. I have been receiving complaints from group members that inbox of their email account are getting flooded daily. I request group members to avoid posting of unnecessary messages and post relevant messages only. Some members are using this forum as chat room which should be avoided. I have been receiving jokes , poems, health advices, birthday wishes for their family members etc. from group members for posting on this forum. I reject such messages at the time of moderation. Some messages are verbose and lengthy , which are beyond my comprehension. Another type of messages are camouflaged messages which contain some objectionable matter like indecent criticism cleverly embedded in verbose and lengthy content of the message. Few members are using this forum for destructive criticism, mud slinging , casting aspersions on a person. Whenever above type of messages are posted by members, those messages are removed at moderation level. There is possibility that few messages can escape moderation and get posted on group site by mistake. Some times the discussions are stretched to such level that I have to intervene and close the topic for further discussion.
Members are requested not to post the messages coming under category described above.
Members are under impression that moderator can edit the contents of the message before posting the message on group site. Please note that the moderator does not have any authority to delete objectionable content from the message and edit the message before posting. Moderator can either allow to post the message or reject the message for posting .Moderator does not have authority to edit the contents of the message.
Members are advised to use category facility while postng of message without fail , for proper classiification of the messasges. A new topic should not be opened if a member wants to post his reply under existing topic. Many times while posting a messsage members open new topic though the message can be posted under existing topic.
I have received request from one member that he does not want to receive messges from a particular member as he does not like to receive the messages of that member. Such requests will not be entertained as it is not technically possible.
In most of the forums members are authorized to post the messages without moderation and after posting of message moderator can mark the message as offensive, delete the message and take appropriate action against the group member. I was also thinking on the same line and allow the members to post the messages without moderation. But looking at the present situation and rejection percentage of messages at moderation level, it is not advisable at this stage. .
Please note that this group site is not meant for any type of business promotion by a member. Many a times messages contain business promotion content at the end of the email. Some members who are in professions like lawyers, doctors, investment consultants etc are trying to use this group site for their business promoton, which should be avoided.
For other clarifications please go through the following posts appearing on the first page of group site (web inteface). Click on the link below for going to web interface.

Very true, dear and respected Belsareji. The site should be used only to educate the rightful dues of the bank retirees. The posts containing objectionable matters including unwanted criticisms on the constituents of our UFBU /any retirees organization should be rejected in toto.Every organization is to be respected .It is true that we do have some residual issues which require urgent interference by the Govt.We should highlight these without pinpointing as to who is responsible etc.UFBU was engaged in collective bargaining and not individual bargaining. So let us view all the organization alike, with the same request.Let us politely highlight our needs to make our debates more healthy, more vibrant etc…
Warm reg

Well said Nairji. Since IBA has made it clear that meeting of 26th May was an informal one and made it clear that it has not given any commitments, the debate on who has not participated in it need to be stopped.
All retiree organizations must face the truth that status of our demands stands as it was few years ago and IBA has not budged an inch from its stand.
Collecting data etc are only delaying tactics.
Only if UFBU jumps into arena and convince FM regarding our demands nothing will move in right direction.
IBA will act only act if specific directions from FM is there.
So far FM has not given any attention to few MPs who have taken up our case.
However we hope FM will give due respect to letter of a person of Deputy Speaker stature and take necessary action.
