For Information :

As per message appeared under LIC  Pensioner Blog the LIC pensioners , case was heard by  Supreme court to day(7th May).

"     LIC pensioners case was heard by supreme court today. an order passed to release 20% of amount due to petitioners within six weeks. next

hearing date fixed as 23rd september 2015, this order includes DA to pre august 1997 as well as pension upgradation as per impugned order of

jaipur high court judgment. exact order to be available on supreme court website will throw some more light "   -B R Mehta.

Mean time it may also be noted that, the back ground of LIC pensioners case before Hon. SC is different and the above case need not have relevance  to bank Pensioners demand for updation of pension

Excellent order upholding the law of the land, and we should thank the judiciacry for their concern to the retirees. This judgement would be useful in arguing the pending appeals,

This is an interim order to be complied with.If L.I.C wants to go on appeal after the hearing is complete, they have to file an SLp, and in view of the senior citizens involved court may direct payment before going on appeal or may also refuse SLP, if there is no scope for appeal.

We can not take things for granted right now.It is not clear whether the order pertains only to petitioners or all pensioners.Secondly whether it pertains only regarding 100 percent DA neutralisation or for updation also.LIC and UOI may go for review petition as well.
Let us wait and see keeping our fingers crossed.

Dear Friends. While we have been trying hard through judiciary process to get our legitimate rights over no of years during which some of the senior citizens mught have departed or borrowed to pay for illness the celebrities get order in couple of hours in their favour. so much for the senior citizens welfare. only when court orders for payment, interest, penalty IBA will realise their responsibilities and will not prolong the issues

It is really a pertinent question. Many cases involving thousands of pensioners do not get any priority but the bail application of celebrities gets top priority. This is the most perverse aspect of our Judicial system.
