Dear Friends,

Those who wish to join under NAC or SBIGI top up premium amount applicable to policy/top up  cover need to be remitted before filling up the online application form in order to give the details in form and submit.

Individual retirees organisations might have provided such premium collection account number/IFSC etc to retirees through their circulars.

Please check it and proceed
 accordingly,before 25th Oct.'23

My personal view:Under present situation IBAGMIS with base cover of ₹2+1lks( to avoid cap) plus SBIGI Top Up ( ₹1lk and above)is ideal choice/Or NAC plus.
Certainly, it is individual retirees choice,  as per their affordability of premium.

Mr mohan
  1.  There is no 2 lakh basic policy plus 1 lakh top up option in this link. It is 2 lakh top up. (2+2 only)
  1. Again is it the form for IBA insurance for canara bank retirees referred in circular  issued by Canara bank where in payment is due on 26/10/23 ?or something else.
  2. Because there is provision for SBI retired employees also in this link, there is confusion.
  3. I hope it is same IBA policy we have been opting all these years, because premiums are different. In Canara bank circular premium are 26k+ and 27k+ which is different from one in the link. Whether the IBA premium is renegotiated?
Kindly respond to this email.
Thank you

Branches of Insurance co. may not be aware of the group
insurances that are dealing with Banks/Associations with the H.O.

I also enquired with a local Branch of NIA co. when the IBA policy for
pensioners introduced and the Branch expressed their inability to
say anything on it.

Dear Mr Madhu Neglur,

You are right.Under NAC policy ₹2+₹2lks cover is only available. For coverage if ₹2+₹1top up =3lks we need to go for BA GMIS.After that we can opt for Super Top Up Cover of SBIGIS.( under retirees organisations of individual banks)

2.Canara Bank has issued circular on IBAGMIS for 2023-24.It is true that  last date for submission of option is on or before 26.10.2023,for  their retirees.Other banks may have different date.
Under NAC/SBIG last date to join is  25th Oct'23.

3.Need not have any  confusion.Details on NAC/SBIG insurance co /super top up etc are available under this forum. It is left to  individual choice as per requirement and affordability.

4.IBA premium shown may be same in circulars issued by all member  banks.Note that NAC medi policy is an alternative one,and premium is also are different.

Hope it is clear.

Thank you very much for the clarification.
Is SBI top up available even if one does not take their basic policy ?
Say a combination like
2+1 of I B A. And plus only top up of SBI policy ?

We are really indebted to Sri Mohanji who is creating awareness among pensioners about various Insurance policies by different organizations and its benefits, pros and cons. This will definitely help pensioners to make the right decision while taking a Health Insurance Policy.

Further, SBI policy stipulates that we have to continue with them for 3 years, if we take their top up policy.

In plain words, SBI Ins top-up triggers only when 3.0 lac hospital paid bill (whether from base Pol of any Ins co or retiree's pocket)  is shown to them, to confirm the spent. Then their Top up Pol become effective.

Thus, they don't have any base Pol for us but we mast hv base Pol for Rs 3 lac either from IBA (where we hv to buy 2+2l minimum) or new India assurance or any other co's Ins.

It may not be out of place to mention that the TPAs of Ins co's may be different and claims also may be required to be settled by seperate TPAs.

Dear Mr Kushal Mukhoti,
Note that you are not a member of Uco Bank Retirees Assn, which is included  in the list for joining under NAC/SBIG  medi ins.schemes.

I have gone through the list provided under link for joining the scheme and not seen the name of Assn you are a member.

You may please check up with your Retiree association, to ascertain that they too are associated with NAC/SBIG policies,so as to join under the scheme.
Even otherwise, to get the details of premium collection account of any retiree association retirees should have rapport with their parent retiree association any way.

Dear Mr Abdul salam,

Note that name of Indian Bank Retirees  Assn too is missing under dropdown list in application for NAC/SBIGI policies.

It would be ideal to get in touch with leaders of Retiree Organisation in Indian bank to check up the status on   tie up arrangements  with above insurance co's to proceed in this matter.

Mr Mohan P,
Today, I emailed K M Dastur Reinsurance Brokers Private Limited. 42 Maharshi Karve Road, Cambata Building, Churchgate. Mumbai 400020 at their email ID - 'retiree....@kmdastur.com', enquiring whether I am eligible to join their scheme without being a member of UCO BANK RETIREES ASSOCIATION. They simply replied "yes, you can."
Thanks,
Kushal Mukhoti.

Mr Kushal Mukhoti,

Though  K M Dastur has given a positive reply   on your enquiry on joining the NAC/SBIG  policy,it seems that  they have missed the point on furnishing  name of organisation in your bank.

Since,  an account number of  Retiree Assn is a must to pay premium in advance, while submitting an application form you need to have get in touch with your association on   details if they have any tie up with K.M.D.
Regards,
