Provision for revision of pension ao the age of 80

Respected learned members of this group , I bring it to your kind notice that I am a canara bank pensioner and attained the age of 80 years . I just wanted to know 

whether there is any provision of revision of pension at this age ? Yesterday when I was going through the web site at google , I found that there is provision of 

increase  of 20% of the basic pay . May I request the respectable and knowledgeable members to put light on the subject and oblige .

Not ATALL 

It is only in STATE GOVERNMENT and CENTRAL GOVERNMENT pensioners are eligible for such benefit in view of the provisions made in the PENSION  act rules etc.,

There is no provision in BANK PENSIONERS.

There is no s uch provision in Canara Bank  or in the PSU Banks at present. It is for Central government pensioners only. I request Sri Mohan to give further information.

For bank pensioners there is no provision to revise monthly pension on attaining 80 years of age.

Such provision do exists in CCS72. But the whole crux is that IBA and. Central government is not accepting,though our regilation is based on CCS72 and IBA had written the same to late Godbole when he asked for some additional benefits. I f MC singla case is the ,we may get updation and other benefits.

Under constitution all are equal. But govt employees, politicians, judiciary and many others are more equal as far as pay packet, benefits etc.

I don’t think any such increase for bank Retirees.May be for govt  retirees.

 LIC pensioners association met their ED on 28.10.2025. and discussed pensioners issues.

Here I am reproducing EDs response on two demands which is relevant to Bank pensioners also.

UPDATION OF PENSION

To demand for pension Updation

ED said that Corporation has worked out financial implications of pension updation with every wage revision and it amounts to more than 1 crore and this decision has to be taken by Ministry of Finance.

INCREASE OF PENSION AFTER 80 YEARS

ED said this is recommended by LIC.

FULL PENSION AFTER 20 YEARS

ED said will be looked into it
