AIBOC circular says, DA index is now changed to 2016=100 instead of 1960=100 and  this is applicable ro all both serving and retired employees . If so, to apply this DA formula, basic pay of retirees have to be changed.

Nothing is seen on this matter. If anyone can get access with Aiboc people, get clarification.

ARE WE BEGGERS?.WHAT IS RATIONAL BEHIND MULTIPLYING  FACTOR. 8TH  AND 9TH  BPS RETIREES  ARE AT BIG LOSS. THEY SIMPLY REDUCED .02  IN EACH BPS WITHOUT JUSTIFICATION.

Dear Mr Ramakrishnan,

01.As explained under 12th BPS/9th , dt 8.3.24, once the merger of CPI 8088 is affected towards Basic Pension of retired employee, naturally his/her current Basic pension may have a notional increase to that effect.

02.Corresponding change in DR payable, w.e.f 1.11.22 may also take place.Here again change in existing CPI series to 2016=100 from, existing base year 1960=100 may too happen.

03.For example a seventh BPS retirees current and post merger of CPI 8088 would be as follows:

B.P.       DR.          Gr.Pension.  Notional increase on merger CPI 8088
₹7880  446.40% ₹43056.        ₹38158. New DR. *15.73%. Gr.Pen. ₹44160

Difference is ₹1104

*(current.138.76-123.03(merged)

 These correction may takes place any way as agreed.

Sir, the discrepancy  for pre 2002 pensioners may be resolved in April 2024. ( Annual revision)

They may either  change the factors marginally for the FY 2024-25 and load factor will be applied on the pension of March 24.

Since march pension is drawn on 100 % DA  ,these pensioners may get enhanced EX-gratia as per their eligibility from April onwards i.e. Prospectively  as done in DA case.

Indexation matter for pensioners is kept in the residual issue to save costs on arrears of ex-gratia to pre 2002 retirees. Otherwise there is no reason to keep this pending for pensioners.

( A group denied always for their rightful pension)
