Medical Check-up/PNB

 Sisters and brothers retired from PNB may be aware that periodical medical check-up facilities with approved hospitals was available during our serving years. Since the rates and packages were well defined, many of us found the facility was quite attractive. Yesterday, I visited one of such hospitals with one of my friends located in Noida(NCR) and came to know that the hospital is extending such facilities with the same rate/package to retired employees also with a rider-- We have to pay the charges without expecting reimbursement. As I found it still attractive, I have decided to share it with the related persons. Would you please check the matter with such approved hospitals of your station?

It appears that the said facility is available in Delhi. I am not aware if the same is available in other metros and big/small cities. I would request Mr. Basu to enlighten further on this matter. MK Majumdar, Retired Sr. Manager, PNB, Calcutta.

Dear Shri Shukla,
                         The said hospital people told me that spouses are also eligible like retired PNBites for medical check-up. Frankly speaking, I haven't come across any such official circular. I had earlier requested all retired PNBites to enquire the matter from Bank's approved hospitals of respective station.If they are not allowing, I will disclose the name of the hospital under reference which I haven't done, so far, intentionally- lest I may be accused of canvassing for a particular hospital.
