Is this a big achievemen ?  It should have been resolved in the year 2005 itself.  Now every affected person has lost

a considerable amount in his life time.  who will compensate the loss ? Many retirees have bid a goodbye from this world.

only a meagre is left.  Hence, better not to blow the trumpet.  IBA has given alms to survivors for their rest of life.

Signing minutes of 100% DA benefit is a remarkable achievement for the reason the case was dismissed by SC and  the only option left is to negotiate the issue with IBA.

But the Retirees association should stop overacting as if it is an extraordinary achievement.

1. First the anomaly was created by UFBU itself.

2. RBI implemented the benefit during 2008.

3. SBI was willing to implement the benefit long back but prevented by IBA.

4. Benefit has come too late after 18 years without any arrears and with a future date.

5. More than 75% Pre 2002 retirees have left this world without benefit.

6. Present retirees except few are  also more than 70 years old

7. Most importantly  the benefit could be achieved because DFS was forced to look into issues  by Delhi High Court and a Committee was appointed.

So no need to overhype.

The 100% d a issue was a grave injustice and a serious discrimination to pre nov 2002 retirees, rather than its monetary aspects . Of course money too counts. Except, few people like chv, etc   the present ufbu leadership are not responsible for that treachery.  Let us thank the present ufbu for achieving this. There were many stalwarts, like B .Ramji, C.R. Chandrasekhar   etc  who took lead in fighting this issue. Unfortunately  man y  of them left the world, before achieving this. I know in few cases, both the pensioner as well as the spouse departed and in such cases, who will enjoy this achievement.

How many pre 2002 retirees are stillin tjis world to see this benefit. How long they may live to enjoy this correction.?

You are right in your observations.

Still .it came as a surprise to all of us,since the case was lost in the

Supreme Court also..It is natural that Retiree Organisations are racing 

to get credit .But the fact is that an anomaly created by the United Forum

to the detriment of retirees ,has finally been rectified.Hence congrats to all.

The discrimination in DA was created in 1995 when the Union agreed for 4 sets of DA formula. If the cut off point were to be same for both workmen and pensioners, the issue of 100 percent DA would not come at all. Almost all pensioners would have got 100 percent DA from date of retirement

Delhi High Court : WPC GOP 8095/2016,9679/2016 & 1875/2013 FSBIPA Vs SBI & Union of India : Matter was briefly heard .Govt / Bank wanted 8 weeks as it wanted to refer the issue to IBA which was opposed by our Advocates that our issue is SBI specific and nothing to do with IBA . SBI pension scheme is statutory and validity of amendments has to be examined by the court and no committee can decide or dictate. However ,court directed the Govt to hear the petitioners in third week of August 23 and submit the report to court subsequently, Court once again reiterated that final decision would be taken by the court after testing the views on constitutional validity.Next date 06/10/23

Dear friends,

Another unresolved issue is 5 year notional service benefit to VRS retirees who has completed 20 years service as per section 29(5) of Pension Regulation Act. It was allowed to VRS Retirees of all Nationalised Banks, State Bank of Mysore. But VRS retirees of State Bank of Travancore has not received this benefit so far. Requested to SBI many times, they are not allowing it.
