                                             IBA Group Medi Claim Insurance Scheme for employees/retirees introduced in Banks as per 10^th BPS/JN dated 25^th may 2015     in  lieu of existing health insurance schemes in member banks

                                           The Banks will implement the scheme through a Group Mediclaim Policy with United India Insurance Company. United India Insurance Company will administer the scheme through various Third Party Administrators (TPA) allotted to various Banks.

Present basic pension  -  Rs 18805  ( before commutation )  DA Rs 21579/- as on date

Pl let me know the basic family pension and present rate of DA eligible for the family of the person whose pension is stated above in case anything happens to him now

Dear Mr Balaji,

                                     Family pension is arrived based on Basic Pay  drawn by the deceased employee at the time of  his/her death/ retirement  and not on basic pension.

                                     In the instant case exact Basic Pay drawn by particular employee has not been furnished as well as date of retirement while seeking query on the subject.How ever for your information I shall furnish the details on Family Pension payable ,here under in particular case mentioned by you.

Let us take the Basic Pay for calculation at Rs.37610.( 100% assuming that retiree completed 33yrs service)

In all settlements,family pension is  restricted to minimum 15% to certain level max 30% of erstwhile Basic Pay above  stipulated level.Accordingly in the above case Family Pension may come to 15% of Rs 37610. ie  at Rs. 5641. 

 DA will be arrived based on date of retirement(or death) as in the case of pensioners.

For example a person retired/died under 9th BPS as in above case  (1.11.2007 - 2012 period) DA payable on family pension at present would be at 114.75% on above family pension.

Dear Sir

Allahabad Bank Head Office had debited the insurance premium from
retires who had not submitted the willingness in August, 2015 from
their Savings Bank account as per the debit authority sent to H.O.
directly.

This is for information to all allahabad bank retirees.

Further I request the Head Office, Allahabad Bank to sent the
intimation to all retirees from time to time either through SMS,email,
or registered dak personally as all the retiress do not have internet
facility to look into Allahabad Bank site.

All retirees could not submit their willingness as they could not
access the bank site.
I request HO to kindly intimate all retirees personally.

it is reported that the mediclaim insurance cover clause relating to the most favourable clause regarding domiciliary treatment facility is withdrawn in respect of retirees and the insurance co has already served notice to all the subject banks to this effect.any further information may be shared in these columns.
