Taken up at 11:45 AM after 4 urgent mention matters

IBA Counsel: Submitted updated actuarial report on pension corpus shortfall. Argued ₹95,000 Cr one-time burden if updation allowed retrospectively.

Petitioners’ Counsel Dr. Manish Singhvi: Pointed to RBI pension updation precedent. Argued Pension Regulations 1995 read with Bipartite Settlement creates legitimate expectation.

Bench observation: Court asked IBA to file year-wise break-up of cost if updation done prospectively from 2026 only. Not inclined for retrospective from 1995.

Next date: May 6, 2026 for final submissions on “prospective updation cost”. Bench indicated judgment likely before summer vacation.

Key takeaway today

Court is moving towards prospective updation only, not arrears. IBA has to give fresh calculation by May 4. Final arguments May 6.

Mr.Prasad please do not give attention to such messages. I am sure such messages are not from pensioners but  some vested interests who want to sabotage the ongoing M C Singla case. 

Pensioners are educated and have access to the internet and SC website to get latest genuine updates about the case and AIBPARC and advocate Sri.Sevaram are also daily giving updates about proceedings in the SC. SC also uploads daily orders.

Further these messages have no name and source information. Anybody can post such messages and nobody can control it.

Only we can do is not repost such messages in this forum without verifying its authenticity.
